SweetGrass Framing is celebrating its 18th Anniversary in Boyne City in 2021.  Owner/Framer Jack Laurent started picture framing in 1982 after graduating with a degree in History.  Job prospects were looking pretty grim until a small chain of picture frame shops offered Jack a store manager position.  Much to his surprise Jack found he loved the precision and craftsmanship of custom picture framing.  39 years later he still gets a thrill when he sees a finished framing project.  You can reach Jack at jacktheframer@gmail.com

In October 2018 I sold my retail building on Main St in Boyne City. At this time I do not have a retail location. I moved my workshop to my basement in my home. I am currently limiting my work to repairs and basic framing with on hand materials.
